We invite exceptional nursing leaders to apply for a clinical track (non-tenure) faculty position at the Urbana campus of the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Nursing.  The UIC College of Nursing is ranked among the top ten nursing programs in the country.  Our mission is to transform health, healthcare, and policy through knowledge generation and translation, and education of future leaders from diverse backgrounds. The University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign is the largest land-grant University in Illinois. The Urbana Champaign (UIUC) campus in east central Illinois is part of the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Nursing.  Over 1300 students are enrolled in our BSN, Master of Science, DNP and PhD programs throughout our six campus locations in Chicago, Peoria, Quad Cities, Rockford, Springfield and Urbana.

We are seeking doctorally prepared (PhD or DNP) candidates to teach Undergraduate and Graduate nursing student courses in Health Assessment, Fundamentals of Nursing, Pathophysiology and Pharmacology as needed across the graduate and pre-licensure nursing programs in didactic and clinical areas of pre-licensure education.  Additional responsibilities include conducting scholarly/practice research activities to support practice and/or education-based scholarship and participate in Department, College and University committees.

Doctoral degree in nursing by the time of appointment and hold or be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois. Successful candidates will have teaching experience and must have a record of scholarship.  Applicant’s rank (clinical assistant, clinical associate or clinical professor) and salary will be commensurate with experience and education.
