A postdoctoral position is open in Dr. Andrei Karginov laboratory at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The laboratory is focused on interrogation and manipulation of signaling pathways regulating endothelial barrier function, angiogenesis and cancer metastasis. One of the main current directions is development of new tools for manipulation and detection of protein activity in living cells. 

We are looking for a highly motivated individual interested in conducting research within the scope of the laboratory. The selected candidate is expected to work on ongoing molecular tool development projects as well as develop her/his own new direction. The work on the projects in the laboratory will require mastering a broad spectrum of skills from protein engineering to live cell imaging.  The PI’s philosophy for ensuring successful postdoctoral training is to encourage independent work, stimulate creativity and provide guidance for further career development.

Applicant must have a PhD degree in cell biology, biochemistry, pharmacology or relevant field. Interested candidates should send a CV and names for three references to:
