The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), College of Nursing, Department of Biobehavioral Health Science is seeking candidates for a 50% (part-time) Visiting Clinical Instructor position available January 2018.

Our College is dedicated to a rich, innovative, and diverse collaborative culture to transform health, healthcare, and policy through knowledge generation and translation, and education of future leaders from diverse backgrounds. Our faculty educates highly competent nurse leaders on our six campuses in Chicago, Peoria, Rockford, Quad Cities, Springfield and Urbana.  Our mission is to transform health, healthcare, and policy through knowledge generation and translation, and education of future leaders from diverse backgrounds.

 

 Provide instruction, supervision, and evaluation of undergraduate student’s performance in various
 medical-surgical clinical and simulation settings.
 Maintain a collaborative, positive relationship with clinical agency staff.
 Maintain effective, on-going communication with the Course Coordinator.
 Attend all course team meetings.
 Complete the clinical agency faculty orientation and comply with the mandatory requirements of the
 clinical site.
 

Doctoral degree in Nursing (DNP or PhD) or currently enrolled in doctoral program.
Clinical experience in medical/surgical acute/tertiary care settings (2 years preferred). 
Teaching experience in health professions and simulation (2 years preferred).
Licensure as a registered nurse or eligible for Illinois.
