Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Services, a unit of the Department of Pharmacy Practice in the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy, seeks a Clinical Faculty (open rank)/Clinical Pharmacist to join the Wood Street Pharmacy team.  Wood Street Pharmacy provides many pharmacy program services and is an accredited specialty pharmacy through URAC and ACHC.

Duties:

Clinical Faculty responsibilities include precepting entry level Doctor of Pharmacy students, PGY1 and PGY2 residents.  Scholarly activities, including presentations and the provision of didactic lectures, are an expectation as well.

Clinical Pharmacist responsibilities include providing services (distribution and clinical) to patients seen at the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System and Wood Street Pharmacy.  Responsibilities also include supervising the dispensing of medications; supporting the activities performed by pharmacy technicians; pharmacy staff development; and coordinating and conducting quality initiatives. Pharmacy programs include specialty pharmacy services, fertility, oral oncology, mail order, hospital discharge prescription services, medication assistance services, Illinois Department of Correction for HIV and HCV services, psychiatric, orthopedic, and UITeamRx coordinated care services.

We are looking for a motivated compassionate individual who is a team player, possesses strong oral and written communication skills; demonstrates flexibility and ability to work independently and adapt to a changing work environment; excellent time management and organizational skills, and is committed to excellent patient care.

~Qualifications:

Candidates must possess knowledge and skills such that they qualify for a non-tenured faculty position with the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the UIC College of Pharmacy, level is commensurate with experience.

Candidates must be licensed or eligible for Illinois licensure as a professional pharmacist.

Candidates must be a graduate of an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy PharmD program.

Candidate knowledgeable to resolve medication related problems and/or insurance issues is desired.

Experience in specialty pharmacy and ambulatory care pharmacy setting is desired.

Completed ASHP residency training is a plus.
