Under minimal supervision, is responsible for the overall management of facilities of the Hospital and designated off campus outpatient care buildings. Day-to-day responsibilities include oversight of the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, and protection of Hospital and off campus outpatient care building systems and the equipment necessary to provide a comfortable, healthy, and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Works/assists/coordinates with onsite Outpatient Care Center Facilities staff, regarding projects and programs, as appropriate. Schedules contractual maintenance services, assists with equipment selection, and procurement to support operations, renovation projects, and future expansions.

1. Any one or any combination of the following types of preparation--
a)credit for college training leading to a major in engineering or architecture
b)work experience in the construction and maintenance of industrial, public, or institutional buildings
that totals 1.0 unit according to the following conversion rates 120 semester hours (or a Bachelor's degree) in "a" = 1.0 unit
three years of "b" = 1.0 unit
2. Five years of experience in the construction and maintenance of industrial, public, or institutional buildings, in addition to the education/experience required in #1, one year of which was in a supervisory capacity.
