This position will be responsible fro providing administrative and office support to the Director, Assistant Directors and Business Administrator in the Health Information Management (HIM), Cancer registry and Privacy areas.
Employee will work under the direction and supervision of the HIM Director. An in-depth knowledge of the organization, programs, polices and procedures of the unit/departments along with the ability to operate computer systems utilizing various office software packages is essential to the performance of duties. Employees at this level will function with the independence and authority necessary support operational functions of the unit.
Manages and maintain the Director's schedule/calendar: informs the director of impeding engagement and prepares necessary materials.
Serves as a liaison between the director/assistant directors and staff or external units and outside agencies.
Coordinates logistical arrangements relating to meetings, conferences, surveys and travel: make appropriate reservations as requested.
transcribes and/or records confidential or sensitive information related to Privacy violations/concerns.
Composes and/or modifies reports, memos, letters, minutes, spreadsheets presentations and other documents requiring knowledge of the avtivities of the director/assistants directors and/or the procedures for the functional units.
Answers inquiries and resolves problems that requir the interpretation explanation and justification of administrative polices and procedures.
Performs other related duites as assigned.
