The University of Illinois Cancer Center is recruiting a Clinical Manager for the Cancer Center Oncology Clinical Trials Office (OCTO). The Clinical Manager reports to the Administrative Director and Medical Director, Cancer Center Oncology Clinical Trials Office.
Key Responsibilities for this position, co-planning, directing, and implementing a comprehensive plan to support the oncology clinical trials in the Oncology Care Clinic at the UI Cancer Center. Specific responsibilities include: develop and administer a clinical multidisciplinary oncology clinical trials, clinical oversight, assist with regulatory, quality assurance, data and protocol management, and clinical budget development and contracting functions as needed; formulate, implement and interpret university policies specifically related to OCTO clinical operations; supervise and direct clinical OCTO staff, including recruitment, training, work flow management and performance evaluations; work with OCTO Administrative Director and stakeholders/constituencies to develop consensus-based Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and clinical studies “flow” system; oversee OCTO clinical financial operations; develop and oversee sponsor clinical communications and collaboration, and interact with clinical PIs and related parties on trial design and study conduct.
Minimum Requirements of a bachelor’s degree in health sciences, public health, or related clinical discipline with minimum of 5 years experience managing clinical trials program, RN with MS preferred. Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and strategic planning skills. Leadership experience working with diverse groups of personnel preferred.
