The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of endocrine regulation of metabolic function, extensive experience working with mice (colony management, breeding, PCR genotyping, blood sampling, iv injections, etc…), excellent skills in detailed record keeping and experience in Excel. The candidate must also have experience with cell culture techniques, RNA/DNA/protein isolation, qrtPCR, Western blot analysis and immunocytochemistry. Finally the candidate must be proficient in data organization, interpretation (statistics) and presentation (graphics and manuscript preparation) and be willing to work as a team member to accomplish a common goal. A Ph.D. in health, chemical or biological sciences is required for this position.
