At a minimum, candidates should have an earned doctorate in public health, rural health, economics or a suitably related field, or a clinical doctorate in pharmacy or medicine along with either a research-intensive fellowship or a master’s of public health degree. Applicants should display strong statistical and methodological skills, as well as a collaborative research orientation. Qualified applicants with expertise in rural workforce issues, health disparities among rural underserved populations, community-based research, interdisciplinary practice, and/or pharmacoepidemiology are strongly encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to applicants with a strong publication track record and history of competing successfully for extramural funding.
