The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria is seeking an Office Administrator for the UICOMP Pediatrics department.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, union position (Monday – Friday) located in Peoria, IL (160 miles southwest of Chicago).

The Office Administrator has full responsibility for initiating and coordinating the office support functions, both financial and administrative that are necessary in achieving the goals of an expanding department. Must exercise sound independent judgement in decision-making and independently interact with Department Head, faculty and staff to assure adherence to the policies and procedures of the Department, the campus and the University. Acts as a liaison between various UICOMP departments, outside entities and physicians. This position requires an extensive knowledge of programs, procedures and systems, use of discretion, ability to utilize multiple software systems. This position works under administrative direction from the Pediatric Director of Administration.

CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER

  1. High school graduation or equivalent.
  2. Any one or combination totaling one (1) unit of the following:
    1. Four (4) years (48 months) of work experience comparable to the third level of this series = 1.0 unit.
    2. Two (2) years (24 months) of work experience comparable to the fourth level of this series = 1.0 unit.
