The Educational Program Evaluation Coordinator will work with minimal supervision, coordinate delivery & implementation of Graduate Education in bioMedical Sciences (GEMS) program. Serve as the primary assistant to in the Director Program Administration of GEMS including planning, development, coordination, and implementation of the program. Assist in the efficient administration of the program’s day-to-day operations as well as assisting in long-range planning for program growth and academic requirement revisions.

  • Coordinates relationships and provides support to GEMS students, staff and faculty related to scheduling, instructional activities, assessment, course evaluation, communication, and general problem solving.
  • Meets regularly with and documents individual meetings with GEMS students. Provides individual attention and becomes familiar with students’ unique personal circumstances.
  • Act as a resource person for students and faculty in the college engaged with the GEMS program.
  • Responds to student emails and phone calls within two business days while using professional judgment regarding matters requiring urgent attention.
  • Maintains a high level of communication with students about program changes, opportunities, special events, etc.
  • Assist student in establishing realistic and attainable academic and career goals.  Communicate with faculty and departmental administrators on behalf of students; provide resource referral for external issues that may affect matriculation.
  • Identifies and makes referrals to academic support resources for students experiencing academic challenges.
  • Assists Director in the planning and facilitation of GEMS events throughout the year, including recruitment, orientation and commencement receptions.
  • Manages, organizes and securely distributes all student application documents to appropriate stakeholders. With oversight from Director, provides data analysis of applicant demographics.
  • Plans monthly Dir. of Graduate Studies (DGS) Executive Committee meetings, including capturing minutes and maintaining historical record.
  • Assists Director in regular maintenance and update of GEMS student database.
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

 

 

 

 

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications Required: 

  1. Bachelor degree in an educational or related field with a minimum of two courses in statistics. (MUST upload transcripts)
  2. Two (2) years (24 months) of educational and/or other research experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
