The Segev Lab studies the conserved regulation of intra-cellular traffic in yeast and human cells and its relevance to human disease. The Research Specialist is expected to contribute to research done in the laboratory, including the design, execution and data analysis of experiments.

 

  • Help design of research, experimental protocols and data collection procedures
  • Perform molecular and cellular experiments using molecular biology and biochemical assays
  • Analyze and interpret data and results and refine experimental design based on project needs
  • Monitor project developments on an ongoing basis and implement changes as needed
  • Based on research findings, prepare, organize and communicate research results needed for writing papers, grants, and other documents
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

 

Bachelor’s Degree in biology, biochemistry or related basic science field required. A minimum of  3 years related research experience (particularly in biochemistry, molecular genetics and/or cell biology) is required.
