Research Associate 1

The Emergency Medicine department is looking for a Research Associate I position to join our Illinios Heart Rescue team.  

The Research Associate I will assist with community Bystander CPR (BCPR) interventions, research data collection, and analysis to develop community interventions that address cardiac arrest health disparities and improve out of hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) survival.

Will assist with developing, executing and managing the Illinois Heart Rescue Project by providing Bystander CPR community training, in person and virtual.

Perform surveys, interviews, and observations to collect research data metrics

Prepares monthly data and activity reports

Assists with study protocol development Provides oversight and ensures grant reporting for the Community Action Grants

Assist the Director with ILHR grant projects as needed

Organic posting community management of the ILHR Social Media on a weekly basis Preferential qualifications but not required

Assists with City of Chicago, community, and State of Illinois yearly reports

Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field required. Public Health a plus. Knowledge of fundamental research concepts, practices and procedures. Entry level knowledge of research methods

Competent in Excel, word processing, and cloud documents a plus

• Social media knowledge is preferred including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.

• EMT or higher certification a plus

• CPR certification a plus

• Bilingual a plus
