The Community Engagement and Health Equity (CEHE) office at the University of Illinois Cancer Center (UICC) is seeking 2 part-time Community Outreach Workers to support community engagement outreach activities. These positions are for 10 hours per week for a total of 26 weeks. 

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Distribute outreach educational materials on screenable cancers.
  • Document each outreach contact during or after each outreach participation.
  • Conduct educational one on one presentations on screenable cancers at outreach events
  • Provide community members with social support by connecting them to community resources and UI Cancer Center programs.

CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. One (1) year (12 months) of experience (paid or unpaid) in work related to the job to be performed.
