The Department of Neurosurgery, University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria seeks to add full-time faculty members at the Assistant/Associate/ Professor level. Clinical or tenure track is offered. Fellowship training in spine is required.

Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible.

As Director of the Spine Division, candidates will be responsible for advancing resident and medical student education in the neurosciences, enhancing spine research programs and growing regional neuroscience volume.

  • Clinical expertise in treating surgical disorders of the spine including but not limited to spinal deformity, minimally invasive spine, spinal cord injury.
  • Participate in teaching medical students, resident and other health professionals.
  • Develop & conduct clinical and/or basic research in the field of Neurosurgery.
  • Program development expected as Director of the Spine Division.
  • Perform other duties of a University faculty member including committee assignments, curriculum development, student counseling and administration.
  • MD degree.
  • Eligible for licensure in Illinois.
  • BC/BE in Neurological Surgery.
  • Fellowship training in minimally invasive/oncology/deformity spinal.
