The section of General Pediatrics, Department of Pediatrics at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is seeking an Open Rank Faculty/General Pediatrician to join our team. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience.

Primary responsibility is in patient care services and clinical teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. Faculty member will provide clinical care to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting, mother-baby unit - and, based on experience, on the inpatient general pediatrics unit.

The Department of Pediatrics is dedicated to providing comprehensive family-centered health care to all children, multi-level professional education to students, physicians and allied health care workers in all aspects of pediatrics, and a voice of advocacy for children of the state of Illinois.

The University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System (UI Health) provides comprehensive care, education, and research to train health care leaders and foster healthy communities in Illinois and beyond.

  • MD or Equivalent
  • Successful completion of Pediatrics Residency Program
  • Unrestricted Illinois Medical Licensure
  • BC/BE in Pediatrics
  • Spanish proficiency preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in quality improvement preferred, but not required.
