The Department of Dermatology is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work under the direction of Dr. Kamran Avanaki focusing on skin imaging system and diagnosis algorithm development. The candidate should have a strong background in design and development of imaging system instrumentation (especially in skin imaging systems); Strong Matlab (required) and Labview programming; Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Experience with optical system design, machine learning, and GPU programming is plus.

The successful candidate will be expected to conduct cutting edge research studies that help understanding different skin diseases and find clinically translatable solutions using optical and photoacoustic imaging techniques. He/She will be collecting data, interpreting and analyzing the data, and write scientific manuscripts in high impact journals.
