The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking an Assistant Professor for a full time faculty position (CT).  We are one of the largest Psychiatry departments with a large and robust General Psychiatry Residency Training Program and several fellowships, including Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Addictions, Neuropsychiatry and Women’s Mental Health fellowships.  Our Department has a large and varied portfolio of NIH funded research grants and state and other contracts and is nationally known for research in autism, pediatric bipolar disorder, late life depression, molecular mechanism in addictions, mental health services research, women’s mental health and many more.   We have a strong commitment to providing health care to the underserved and ethnically diverse populations in Chicago and are well positioned to participate in many new and exciting developments in the area of mental health and behavior.

 

The Psychiatry position will be in a clinical area of Research.  It will include teaching and supervision of Postdocs, Fellow,   medical students and other trainees. Start up monies and mentorship in developing new projects are available.

 

The successful candidate will have M.D./Ph.D.,  and eligible or licensed in Illinois.
