The Drug Information Group (DIG) at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Department of Pharmacy Practice is an academic and consultative unit of the College of Pharmacy and provides clinical support to organizations in need. The goals of the group are to provide evidence-based medical information, to enhance the skills of health care professionals through training sessions, and to serve as a resource for health care professionals involved in patient care.  The DIG is expanding services and is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the position of Clinical Faculty (Open Rank)/Clinical Pharmacist.  This position is a full-time appointment.

Clinical Faculty (Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) academic responsibilities include the provision of didactic lectures and precepting Doctor of Pharmacy students, PGY1 residents and PGY2 residents. Scholarly activities, including presentations and publications, are an expectation as well.

Clinical Pharmacist responsibilities include responding to drug information inquiries, preparing formulary monographs and class reviews, and completing contract-related projects. In addition, the individual will have project management responsibilities for fee-for-service endeavors of the DIG.

PharmD and PGY1 residency experience required.

Experience in medical writing, formulary management, and medication use policy are preferred.

Candidates must present evidence of, or eligibility for, Illinois licensure as a professional pharmacist at time of employment.  

Highly preferred are strong clinical knowledge base; analytical and problem solving skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to consistently meet deadlines; demonstrate flexibility and ability to work independently and adapt to a changing work environment; excellent planning, time management and organizational skills. 

Academic rank will be commensurate with experience.
