The Extra help position is responsible for working with Hospital payroll department for the University of Illinois Hospital & Clinics in accordance with University policies and all federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Answers telephone or in person inquiries about basic payroll information or procedures.

Assist in processing adjustments via RT system, BANNER system and Time & Attendance system.

Reviews payroll documents for compliance with policies and procedures as instructed. 

Covers HR Front desk as needed.

Assist in the process of adjustments and personnel change requests.

Assist in time card and benefit audits.

Assist in the update biweekly of separation and transactional change reports

Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER
 

  1. One year of experience comparable to Payroll Clerk (Level 1)
    OR
    One year of vocational training in a related business curriculum (such as accounting, business administration, finance, economics, or management sciences)
    OR
    12 semester hours in a related business curriculum (such as accounting, business administration, finance, economics, or management sciences)
    OR
    30 semester hours of college course work in any field
    OR
    Any combination of the above totaling one year
