The University of Illinois at Chicago, Department of Chemistry seeks an individual who has established an internationally recognized research program in organic chemistry, a track record of external funding, and the vision and leadership to fill the newly established Endowed Chair in Chemistry at the rank of tenured associate or full professor. Candidates in all areas of the discipline who complement our existing research strengths, will help to push disciplinary boundaries, and are committed to support our growing academic program are sought. UIC is a Research I public university in the heart of Chicago. UIC is the largest university in the Chicago area with over 30,000 students, 16 colleges, including the nation's largest medical school, and one of the most diverse student bodies in the nation. Conduct a full and active program of rigorous and innovative research in organic chemistry.  Contribute to teaching graduate and undergraduate students. Train and guide graduate students in research.  Provide service to the university.

Ph.D. in chemistry, and teaching/research experience to qualify for a tenured faculty position.
