The University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago invites applications from highly motivated postdoctoral fellows with experience in vascular biology, cell signaling, and lung biology to apply to our T32 Training Program. 

This program, currently in its 26th year, was borne out of our commitment to providing research training opportunities. Our pre-eminent goal is to provide state-of-the-art research training for an outstanding group of predoctoral and postdoctoral trainees. The training program emphasizes the interdisciplinary nature of contemporary research in an environment that fosters independent and creative thinking, with the objective of training future research leaders.

A PhD or MD/PhD or MD degree is required. Experience with biomedical research is also highly desirable.  Competitive candidates will have a publication record and excellent communication skills.

Eligibility:

  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Not already received 2 years of post-doc funding from NIH training grants
  • PhD and/or MD or equivalent by start of training
