The newly established Center for Dissemination and Implementation Science in the Department of Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) invites applications and nominations for a tenure-eligible open-rank faculty position. The Center offers exceptional opportunities to conduct cutting-edge research in implementation science, collaborations with multidisciplinary faculty, and close partnerships with community-based agencies. A key strength of the Center is its active engagement with traditionally underserved populations designed to address diverse health disparities. The Center is part of a vibrant and growing Department of Medicine in the UIC College of Medicine with well-established research in prevention and intervention for a wide range of diseases. Faculty collaborate across schools of public health, engineering, applied health, dentistry, pharmacy, education, social work, and nursing.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a record of extramural funding, strong publications, collaborative research, mentoring, and experience in implementation science. Candidates who seek to advance the Center’s commitment to diversity and inclusion in teaching, mentorship, service and research are encouraged to apply. The following areas of focus are of particular interest: adolescent sexual and reproductive health, HIV prevention and treatment, mental health, substance use, and urban and global health. National and international recognition is expected for more senior level applicants.

Duties and Expectations: The Center seeks individuals who will conduct an independent program of scholarly activity that complements the Center’s research initiatives and goals.

• Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent by the date of appointment.

• Demonstrated excellence in research, including extramural funding and peer-reviewed publications.
