The Clinical Trials Office (CTO) at the University of Illinois Cancer Center (UICC) is seeking a Research Committees and Systems Manager. This position manages the Cancer Center Clinical Trials oversight committees and the Clinical Trials Management System, OnCore, which supports the review activities of these committees.

Protocol Review Committee (PRC)
• Create and implement committee policies and procedures.
• Run committee meetings and document committee decisions.
• Triage and consolidate committee reviews and reviewer comments.
• Work closely with the PRC Chair to analyze studies and appropriately manage study reviews.

Data and Safety Monitoring Committee (DSMC)
• Create and implement committee policies and procedures.
• Run committee meetings and document committee decisions.
• Triage and consolidate committee reviews and reviewer comments.
• Work closely with the DSMC Chair to analyze studies and clinical safety events and appropriately triage clinical safety event reviews.

OnCore Clinical Trials Management System
• Conduct end user training for data completion in the OnCore Clinical Trials Management System and customize training based on the needs of research studies. OnCore functions include protocol management, subject management, custom case report form development, and sponsor billing.
• Routinely run OnCore reports to monitor outstanding data and report findings. Design ad hoc reports to support user needs.
• Make system modifications to support user needs.
• Manage Nimblify calendar requests, completes calendar imports and provides support to team upon release of calendar in OnCore.
• Devise and implement strategies for ensuring data is consistently aligned with UICC initiatives and end goals.
• Communicate vision, sets priorities, develop and execute plans to help employees and team achieve desired outcomes.
• Implement systems, policies and associated training.
• Supports unit operations by allocating staff and other resources efficiently to accomplish operational goals.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in science or related field required.
  • A minimum of three years related clinical research experience; one year of clinical research related management experience.
  • Proficiency in working in web-based database systems and electronic data entry; OnCore or similar CRMS database preferred.
  • Knowledge of clinical research trials operations.
  • Knowledge of clinical trials regulatory and protocol development.
  • Skills in data management and querying (SQL).
  • Basic knowledge of Jaspersoft Reporting software and Oracle database preferred.?
