The University of Illinois Chicago Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking a responsible graduate assistant for the men's and women’s tennis program. 

  • Assist coaching staff during practices and competition
  • Hitting individually with student-athletes
  • Assist with equipment management and racquet stringing
  • Assist with recruitment of prospective student-athletes
  • Ensure compliance with all written policies, procedures and guidelines of UIC, the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, the NCAA, the Horizon League and all applicable conferences or associations.
  • Providing administrative support for such as arranging meetings, event planning, and other duties as assigned.

Please note that this is a 25% assistantship beginning August 2022.

This position provides a tuition waiver to the university’s graduate program of choice and additional monthly stipend.  

Must also be accepted and enrolled into an accredited graduate program at UIC.  (Must be enrolled for at least 8 semester hours during the Fall/Spring term)

A strong background competing at the collegiate level and/or possess coaching certifications in tennis.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills; as well as mature, respectful, professional engagement and demeanor with student-athletes and University personnel.

Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; and awareness of and respect for the need for confidentiality.
