The Department of Medical Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine (UIC DME) invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position at the professor rank with a focus on undergraduate medical education and the health humanities.

This position carries responsibilities in research, teaching, and service in medical or health professions education and in the health humanities. DME faculty are expected to maintain active and visible research programs in their area(s) of expertise. The faculty member in this position will teach and advise graduate students in the MHPE program and in the Doctoral program in Curriculum Studies, which has a focus in health professions education (HPE). They will also develop and direct Departmental programs that are intended for medical students in the areas of health professions education and the health humanities. They will have curricular, instructional, and faculty development responsibilities in collaboration with other DME faculty members. The position involves no clinical service.

The ideal candidate for this position will have an MD and/or PhD degree and advanced training/experience in (undergraduate) medical education programs and in health humanities, disability studies, and/or ethics.
