The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry (UIC COD) is seeking a full-time, Dental Unit Coordinator (Clinical Operations Coordinator) to join a worldwide leader in oral health education, clinical care and research that is patient –centered and evidence-based.

The Dental Unit Coordinator (Clinical Operations Coordinator) will be responsible for maintaining administrative duties related to clinical compliance, inventory, and licensures. The Clinical Operations Coordinator will also direct and coordinate ancillary services for the entire dental clinic operations

  • Coordinate, Review, and track CPR, HIPAA/Osha, and other trainings for clinical faculty, and staff. 
  • Manage and maintain licensure information for faculty and students
  • Support College Immunization Requirements
  • Oversee purchases of consumable supplies in predoctoral clinics
  • Manage and Maintain Occurrence Report at the College of Dentistry 
  • Assist in Infection Control Monitoring protocols
  • Indirectly supervisor Dental Assistants, and dental student employees
  • Work to troubleshoot clinical issues inclusive of patient concerns and triage patient calls 
  • Assist Executive Director of Clinical Operations and Patient Advocate on Various Projects
  • Track and Record data for biological monitoring 
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications:
 

1. High school graduation or equivalent.

2. Two years (24 months) of experience comparable to that performed at the Dental Clinic Clerk II level of this series https://www.sucss.illinois.gov/pages/classspec/ViewSeries.aspx?tblCS_SeriesID=103
