Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Services, a Unit of the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy, is looking for a Clinical Instructor/Float Clinical Pharmacist to join the Ambulatory Pharmacy Services Team.  The “home base” for this position is Wood Street Pharmacy, however the pharmacist will float to the seven ambulatory pharmacies to provide pharmacist coverage as required.
 

Float Clinical Pharmacist responsibilities include supporting the day to day operations of 7 Ambulatory Pharmacy service areas as needed. The Float Clinical Pharmacist will provide clinical services to patients seen at the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System, Ambulatory Pharmacies.

Clinical faculty responsibilities of the position include the provision of didactic and clinical experiential teaching/training in the College of Pharmacy’s Doctor of Pharmacy Program.

Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Services is looking for a team player who possesses strong oral and written communication skills, demonstrates flexibility and ability to work independently and adapt to a changing work environment, exhibits excellent time management and organizational skills, and is committed to excellent patient care. Knowledge to resolve medication related problems and/or insurance issues is desired.

Candidate Minimum Qualifications:

  • Licensed as a professional pharmacist in Illinois
  • Graduate of an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy PharmD program
  • Must possess knowledge and skills such that the candidate qualifies for a non-tenured clinical faculty position (at the rank of Clinical Instructor) with the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the UIC College of Pharmacy.
