The provost advises Chancellor Michael D. Amiridis on matters of academic policy, strategic direction, enrollment management and academic resource planning. This individual will partner with the chancellor and the vice chancellor for health affairs to advance UIC’s scholarly achievement and mission of access to excellence for one of the most diverse student bodies in the nation; to build collaborative and interdisciplinary endeavors amongst the faculty; to foster creative and innovative activity; and to engage with the community, the city of Chicago, and the state of Illinois.
