The Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) invites applications for an Open-Rank Clinical Faculty position as the Director of Undergraduate Studies for the Kinesiology program. This is a non-tenure track faculty position.

 

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Direct the administrative aspects of the undergraduate kinesiology program including student recruitment, advisement, evaluation, and counseling
  • Undergraduate course and curriculum development, scheduling, assessment, and evaluation in accordance with accreditation and policy standards
  • Development of policies and procedures for effectively managing all components of the program (such as program admission, retention and   completion policies)
  • Provide faculty mentorship and development opportunities
  • Participate in scholarly activities which can include, but is not limited to, invited workshops, poster or platform presentations (scientific and/or educational) at the regional and national levels, publications in professional journals

The successful candidate must have an earned doctoral degree with emphasis in kinesiology and at least 2 years of administrative, curriculum development, and instruction experience.
