Up to 30 hours per week

Under the direction of the Associate AD, Health, Wellness and Performance. The Medical Assistant will monitor the main building entrances of the FAC and PEB buildings and ensure that all visitors entering the facility complete the mandatory check-in process for visitors, staff, students, answer questions and direct/or escort visitors to their destination. Perform general clerical duties and work on special projects as assigned.

 

·       Greets visitors, determine nature and purpose of visit, direct and/or escort them to destination.

Provide information regarding organization and employees as permitted.

·       Ensure that all visitors entering the facility complete mandatory check-in process, Identification check, temperature screening, hand hygiene and ensure that all visitors are wearing appropriate PPE/nose and mouth face coverings.

·       Sort incoming and outgoing USPS/Campus mail and deliveries.

·       Performs other related duties as assigned.

CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER
 

  1. High school graduation or equivalent
  2. Experience or training from the following categories:
    1. one (1) year (12 months) of work experience and/or training which provided knowledge of clinical procedures and training in vital signs and patient prep for exams, sterilization and maintenance of instruments and equipment, and assisting with examinations and minor surgical procedures.
      OR
    2. graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
