I’m an employee where should I login to apply for a job?

If you are an employee, you must login through the employee login using your NetID and password.

 

Can I create an account using my personal email?

Employees should only login with their NetID and password.  Creating an account with a personal email will create a duplicate account and all activity for an employee should be on their employee account.

 

If my account was converted for civil service exam activity, how can I claim my account?

If you are an active employee at UIC, you should login through the employee Internal Career Site.

If you are an external applicant (not currently working at UIC), follow these steps.

Step 1:

Go to jobs.uic.edu

Step 2:

Click on External Applicant Login

Step 3:

Click Sign In in the top right of the screen.

Step 4:

Click the Forgot password or need to create a password?

Step 5:

Under Login Credential, enter the email address at which you received this communication.  Check the box for I’m not a robot and click submit.  You will be asked to complete a CAPTCHA and click submit again.

Step 6:

You will receive a forgotten password email.  Click the link provided in that email to reset your password.  On the screen that comes up, enter your desired password.

Step 7:

Once you click submit, your password will be reset, and you will be logged in to the system.  Please use this login email and password for all applications in the future.

What does it mean to be an external applicant?

An external applicant is someone who is not employed by the University of Illinois Chicago.  So if you are not a current active employee, you are an external applicant.

My record was converted from the old system.  How do I log in?

You will need to reset your password using your email as your username.  If you are an employee, you must login through the employee login page

I forgot to include information on my application. How do I correct it?

Once you submit an application for a job posting, you cannot edit the submission. In order to make updates you must withdraw your application and then resubmit it.

I need to update my application for a reclassification/reallocation. How do I do that?

For current employees only to be considered for testing in a new civil service classification for the purpose of reclassification /reallocation of your current position, you must complete a Civil Service application and upload all supporting documents.
