Administrative Nurse I is responsible for directing patient care, related unit activities and personnel on an assigned shift utilizing the Nursing Process and Relationship-Based Care model as the framework in order to ensure quality patient care and work flow. AN Duties

Administrative Nurse I is responsible for directing patient care, related unit activities and personnel on an assigned shift utilizing the Nursing Process and Relationship-Based Care model as the framework in order to ensure quality patient care and work flow. The ANI identifies work priorities, determines and coordinates daily assignments and staff scheduling.

The Administrative Nurse I takes initiative to improve patient outcomes by integrating Shared Leadership, Evidence Based Practice, Relationship Based Care and standards of nursing excellence into practice. Through therapeutic relationships with patients, families, self and colleagues, the Administrative Nurse I functions as role model who directs patient care and fulfills unit and organizational goals.

  • BSN required, MSN preferred
  • Current ACLS and BLS required
  • Current IL RN licensure required
  • Excellent attendance, interpersonal skills and work history required
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work under pressure required
  • Ability to work independently, exercise good judgement, and posssess the ability to motivate nursing staff
  • Specialty Certification (e.g. SCRN, CCRN, CNRN, or PCCN) preferred or must be obtained within two (2) years of employment
