AN III Duties

The chief responsibility of the Administrative Nurse III – Pre & Post-operative Care Units (SurgicCenter & PACU) is to elicit positive patient outcomes, ensure safe, quality patient care while promoting access, conscientious resource utilization and operational efficiencies in the Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Units with a focus on Ambulatory, Preadmit and Inpatient surgery. This Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring adherence to approved policies and procedures and provides oversight for perioperative patient care which includes: direct patient care using best, evidence-based practices, patient/family/staff education, multidisciplinary care coordination, effective multi-modal communication, and dynamic solution finding. This leadership role acts as a resource for staff and throughput manager for the perioperative team including: Surgeons, Anesthesia, the Operating Room, Inpatient Nursing and ancillary teams. In addition to daily operations, this role collaborates with leadership to develop and support clinical and operational quality improvement projects.

Three (3) years of RN experience required. BSN Required. MSN preferred.

Nursing Certification preferred.

One (1) year of Charge RN experience or other Nursing Leadership experience strongly preferred.

Care coordination skills with ability to work with multidisciplinary team required.

Experience in procedural or perioperative care preferred. Proactive and can work independently without supervision. Ability to multitask and trouble shoot with effective verbal and electronic communication skills.

Computer and Internet experience preferred.

Excellent attendance, interpersonal skills and work history required.
