The University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System (UI Health) Neonatal ICU and Pediatrics is seeking a Equipment Attendant to join their team. The Equipment Attendant will perform varied duties including but not limited to, submitted work orders, inventory, arranging for annual maintenance checks, coordinating repairs and exchanges, assessing and submitting facility work order requests, and tracking monthly expenditures for repairs.

The work schedule for this position is from 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday - Friday.

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Check of needed repairs of equipment and arrange as necessary shipment or repair, as needed
  • Perform weekly environmental safety audits and submit work orders, as needed
  • Participate in supply and capital inventory functions, as requested
  • Keep records of supplies/equipment sent to and borrowed from other areas with UI Health; retrieve/return as necessary.
  • Remove reusable equipment from rooms and return to the Equipment Room for cleaning and storage
  • Change lights equipment as needed
  • Put new equipment together, as necessary
  • Work with other areas to contact the appropriate vendor for equipment/repairs
  • Check to see if OR beds are functional
  • Coordinate with Steris in the maintenance of equipment
  • Establish regular PM of equipment
  • Track monthly expenditure of repairs
  • Set up isolation supplies and replenish as necessary
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:

None

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum Associates Degree or higher preferred
  • Minimum One to Two years of related experience preferred
