The incumbent reports to the Vaccine Clinic Manager, who reports to the site Director.   Coordinates and manages the Vaccine Clinic registration staff, using initiative, independent judgment and discretion concerning priorities.

1. Verbally communicates any daily updates or changes to staff.
2. Ensure that traffic flow is appropriate.  Lines should be short.  This includes the patient waiting to check in as well the lines to receive shots.  Communicates with Clinical area when lines are reaching 6 or 8 for more than 10 minutes.
3. Ensures that proper supplies are available.  This includes vaccination cards and check-in packets.
4. Orients and trains anyone new to the area.  (Must know modified registration and appointment check-in workflow in Epic).
5. Communicates current status on add-ons.  When add-ons are approved, registers and checks in these patients.  (Must know registration and appointment workflows in Epic, and be granted security to add).
6. Ensures check-in staff are relieved for breaks and lunches.  May need to fill in during these times.
7. Interacts with Vaccine management, for updates, concerns and changes.  Assists in other areas as needed.
8. Communicates with Logistics staff regarding Bilingual staff and staff going on break so that are aware of lines closing.
9. May assist with staff (agency) timecards on Friday, submits to agency and retains a copy for record keeping.
10. Other duties as assigned.
 

Education and Work Experience
• High school graduation or equivalent
• Any combination totaling three (3) years (36 months) from the following categories:
a) Patient access related work experience in physician office, clinic or hospital patient registration and financial clearance environment, revenue cycle business and financial operations, healthcare administration or other closely related experience
      or
b) college coursework which included courses in business administration, communications, or similar area of study as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
? 30 semester hours equals 1 year (12 months)
? 60 semester hours equals 2 years (24 months)
? 90 semester hours equals 3 years (36 months)
? 120 semester hours equals 4 years (48 months)
• One (1) year (12 months) supervisory experience in hospital or clinic patient registration
